PURPOSE

Aiglon College is an esteemed international boarding school nestled in the breathtaking Swiss Alps, renowned for delivering a holistic education that is both challenging and inspiring. Each summer, our Summer Camp accommodates over 500 students aged 8 to 16, representing more than 45 nations. Our dedicated staff plays a vital role in fostering the ethos of Aiglon and ensuring a positive, enthusiastic atmosphere within the Summer Camp, creating a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.

MISSION

Our goal is to provide Summer Camp students with a creative, hands-on, and inspiring introduction to DJing and music production. We seek individuals who can share their expertise and offer students an engaging and immersive activity.

  • Conduct DJ-focused social evenings in 120-minute sessions that include:
    • A live DJ set
    • Mixing fundamentals: creating playlists and beat-matching tracks
    • DJ controls and effects: using EQ knobs and audio effects such as delay and reverb
    • Turntable techniques: scratching and beat juggling
    • Rhythm and performance skills: finger drumming and rhythm exercises
    • Explanations of DJ techniques
    • Supervised student interaction and hands-on practice while maintaining a dynamic and engaging environment
  • Ensure that sessions are fully supervised, utilizing professional equipment in a safe and structured setting.
  • Provide a dynamic introduction to DJing, enhancing students' musical listening, rhythm, and collaboration skills, and creating an interactive experience that embodies both creativity and professionalism.
  • Commit to offering one evening session per week from June 29th to July 27th, 2026.

OTHER TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Undertake additional tasks as reasonably required by the Director of Summer Camp to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
  • Understand and implement all school policies and procedures, with particular attention to those related to the safeguarding of children and young people.
  • Comprehend the School’s Guiding Principles and consistently uphold the ethos of the School.
