Key Responsibilities
Professional Conduct
- Adhere to Swiss nursing regulations and the NMC Code of Professional Conduct (if applicable).
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care in accordance with Swiss standards and Croix-Rouge protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality following Swiss data protection and child protection legislation.
- Actively promote the school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and safeguarding training.
Nursing Care
- Provide high-standard nursing services to students, staff, and visitors.
- Organise nurse clinics and assess injuries, illnesses, and health conditions.
- Administer medications in accordance with prescriptions and legal requirements.
- Develop individual care plans in collaboration with staff and parents.
- Deliver first aid and emergency care to students and staff.
Health Education and Promotion
- Promote health education in line with Croix-Rouge and Swiss health standards.
- Support wellbeing initiatives in collaboration with teaching and pastoral teams.
- Stay informed about current health promotion and safeguarding programs.
Administration
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
- Manage daily operations of the Health Centre efficiently.
- Complete accident and incident reports for insurance claims.
Health & Safety
- Maintain awareness of health and safety issues affecting the school environment.
- Contribute to health-related risk assessments for events and activities.
Liaison and Collaboration
- Work closely with the Health Centre team and other staff members.
- Communicate with external medical professionals for treatment coordination.
Safeguarding and Child Protection
- Promote a culture of vigilance, ensuring safeguarding is central to all practices.
- Attend regular safeguarding and child protection training.
- Act promptly regarding any concerns about a student’s welfare.
Hours of Work
This role is term-time only and includes night duty, on-call responsibilities, weekends, and unsocial hours. The successful candidate is expected to work in the week prior to the term starting to prepare the Health Centre. There will be an opportunity to support Aiglon’s Summer Camp.
