Job Purpose
The role involves leading, safeguarding, and developing Aiglon’s sports and activities provision, ensuring every pupil, staff member, and guest enjoys an inclusive, high-quality, and safe programme.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance
- Conduct daily facility walk-throughs, logging hazards, and initiating corrective action.
- Enforce best practices in child safeguarding and health & safety, aligned with Swiss regulations and Aiglon policies.
- Maintain inspection and servicing schedules for all sports equipment.
- Manage bookings for the minibus fleet for expeditions and sports departments.
- Secure the Sports Centre after operating hours.
Programming & User Experience
- Produce and publish the Sports Centre timetable, balancing curriculum lessons, house practices, team training, and community bookings.
- Promote a wide range of sports and well-being initiatives.
- Liaise with the Health Centre and Deputy School Director regarding students with medical or additional needs.
- Communicate clearly and courteously with all users.
Fitness Suite & Strength-and-Conditioning
- Oversee the Fitness Suite’s presentation, cleanliness, and supervision.
- Assist in planning and coaching age-appropriate strength and conditioning sessions.
- Monitor student progress and maintain records for individualized programmes.
- Educate students on safe lifting techniques and injury prevention.
Activities Coordination
- Design and support a high-quality activities programme across the school.
- Ensure effective communication of information regarding activities to students, staff, and the community.
- Provide leadership and guidance for effective programme planning and execution.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the programme to align with student interests.
Qualifications, Experience, and Attributes
A. Education, Qualifications and Languages
- Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Exercise Physiology, Sport Facilities Management, or related discipline.
- Desirable: Accredited Strength & Conditioning certification and valid First Aid & CPR qualification; working proficiency in French.
B. Experience and Knowledge
- Desirable: Minimum 5 years of professional experience managing multi-sport facilities, coaching S&C programmes, and experience in an international school or elite sports academy.
