Your Crew

Join our Environmental Testing team of six in Zurich-Seebach and help ensure that hardware is ready for the toughest environments. From satellite mechanisms and launcher components to complete spacecraft, you'll work on challenging projects for both space and industrial customers using technologies such as vibration, shock, thermal, climatic, centrifuge, and thermal vacuum testing. Together, we're driven by curiosity, hands-on engineering, and a shared commitment to delivering reliable results.

Your Mission

• Plan, prepare, and perform environmental simulation tests for internal and external customers, including the preparation of test reports.
• Operate the Test Center facilities, including vibration and shock systems, pyroshock, centrifuge, temperature and climatic chambers, as well as TVAC.
• Develop and perform measurement tasks for environmental, separation, and static tests, including:
  • Acceleration and load measurements
  • Material strain measurements
  • Distance measurements
  • Trajectory determination using high-speed video
• Develop test concepts and define appropriate testing methods and profiles in collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Advise design and development teams on the technical feasibility of planned tests, accounting for technical requirements, specifications, scope, costs, and schedules.
• Prepare quotations for mechanical testing according to applicable requirements, including ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
• Plan and coordinate the utilization of test equipment and facilities.
• Process and analyze measurement data, presenting test results in a clear and professional manner.
• Ensure the maintenance, calibration, and service of measurement and recording equipment.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on test facilities, measurement equipment, and sensors.
• Prepare and maintain test documentation in accordance with applicable quality and management system requirements.

Your Profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable technical field, or an Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education (TS/HF) in a technical profession.
• Practical experience with physical testing and measurement technologies.
• Good understanding of measurement technology, electronics/control technology, and physics.
• Proficient in MS Windows and common IT tools.
• Fluent in German and proficient in English (B2 or higher), both written and spoken.
• Structured and hands-on approach with a strong awareness of quality and tidiness.

Nice-to-Haves

• Completed vocational training in a technical field, such as mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Experience in testing, research, and development.
• Experience in the aerospace or automotive industry.
• Familiarity with electronic data acquisition systems.
• Knowledge of 5S or similar workplace organization concepts.
• French language skills.
• License or experience in operating cranes, man-lifts, and/or forklifts.
