Position Overview

This position reports to the Engineering Manager.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will ensure the effective delivery of the Service portfolio according to ABB's standard processes and safety guidelines while maintaining customer satisfaction. You will provide technical support, act as a specialist, and solve problems within your area of expertise. Additionally, you will proactively communicate with customers as well as ABB service sales and lifecycle management teams to understand customer needs and seize business opportunities for service growth. This role includes on-site assignments up to 40% of the time.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver technical support and resolve issues via remote or on-site service, including installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, back-office engineering, consulting, and retrofit engineering.
  • Investigate customer needs through professional consulting, manage customer relationships, and maintain regular contact with key clients.
  • Act as a 24/7 support line for one full week approximately every two months, depending on availability.
  • Proactively suggest product and quality improvements and communicate these innovations within the ABB organization.
  • Provide technical consulting on Service solutions to management and customers, all within a dynamic and international team environment.

Qualifications for the Role

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an electrical engineer, product specialist, or in a similar technical role, preferably within the power electronics sector.
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach with effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for seamless collaboration across departments and with customers.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring product conformity and adherence to quality standards through accurate technical documentation.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages such as Spanish is a plus.
