Join Our Engineering Team as a Project Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Engineer to enhance our engineering team. In this role, you will serve as the technical authority for electrical engineering projects of low to medium complexity, focusing on medium-voltage, low-voltage, and standby power systems within our service business (retrofit). Your responsibility includes implementing project requirements while ensuring adherence to budget and time constraints, as well as meeting all necessary specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Your Responsibilities

  • Configure products and create electrical schematics using EPLAN, along with preparing simple mechanical drawings in AutoCAD.
  • Carry out selectivity calculations.
  • Execute type testing (design verifications) for non-standard configurations, adhering to checklists and applicable standards.
  • Provide technical support during tests and commissioning, assist project management in technical reviews, and participate in customer meetings, as well as the implementation of change and variation requests.
  • Develop effort estimates and feasibility recommendations for the quotation team.
  • Prepare system documentation, as-built documents, and acceptance records.

Qualifications for the Role

  • Completed apprenticeship as an electrician or automation technician, along with further training as a technician HF/FH or a comparable qualification.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in project engineering, preferably in energy technology; experience in mechanical engineering is advantageous.
  • Proficient in CAD software including EPLAN Electric P8; AutoCAD skills are a plus.
  • Strong technical understanding of power supply system engineering (MV/LV/emergency supply power); experience with low-voltage switchgear is ideal.
  • Commitment to safe working practices and compliance with relevant safety guidelines.
  • High self-motivation combined with independent, solution-oriented, and responsible working methods.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills; fluency in both German and English is required, and French language skills are beneficial.
