Position Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for developing, planning, and implementing the Supply Chain Strategy for an assigned category, ensuring that the purchasing organization's targets are achieved. Your workplace will be located in Baden, Switzerland, and you will report to the Global Category Manager Components.
Your Responsibilities
- Achieve defined Supply Management targets for the assigned category, focusing on quality, logistics, and total cost.
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies aimed at optimizing total cost, product quality, and logistics performance.
- Integrate environmental considerations, such as the CO₂ footprint of our products and value chain, into category strategies and decision-making processes.
- Regularly assess supply risks and implement effective mitigation measures to maintain a resilient supply chain.
- Oversee supplier evaluation, qualification, development, pricing, and framework agreement negotiations.
- Drive continuous improvement within the supply chain, emphasizing reductions in lead times and optimization of logistics processes.
- Represent Supply Management in product development projects and assist in product ramp-up through serial release and stable supply.
- Lead part relocation projects until first article inspection approval and handover to the buying organization.
- Initiate and manage drawing modification requests in collaboration with Engineering and Design teams.
- Support the buying organization in managing supply escalations.
Your Background
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Design, or a related field).
- Proven experience in Value Chain and/or Supply Chain Management within an industrial setting.
- Advanced education or professional qualifications in Value Chain and/or Supply Chain Management are advantageous.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in German is preferred.
- A strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse cultural backgrounds.
- A hands-on, results-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%.
