Main Duties
- Teach across a diverse age and ability range, tailoring lessons to meet individual student needs.
- Contribute to the wider school community by participating in sporting events, extracurricular activities, and other enrichment opportunities.
- Engage as a valued member of our Boarding Department.
- Pursue continuous professional development and enhance your teaching practice.
- Mentor a small group of learners, monitoring their achievements and well-being.
- Demonstrate a clear commitment to safeguarding all young people.
- Handle subject-related administration as required and participate in departmental meetings.
- Adhere to the school’s assessment and reporting processes and attend parent meetings as necessary.
Person Specification
- Possesses a good honours degree and/or a further degree in a directly-related subject.
- Demonstrates a commitment to the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Exudes passion for the subject and inspires enthusiasm in others.
- You are open to embracing developments and innovations in teaching and learning, willing to experiment with new practices.
- Available to supervise learners completing the MYP Personal Project or the DP Extended Essay.
- Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (native level).
- Shares and supports the educational vision of La Garenne International School, contributing to both co-curricular and pastoral aspects of school life.
- Brings strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues and school leadership.
- Possesses strong ICT competence and a willingness to adopt new technologies.
