We are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Business to join our esteemed all-through international boarding school, located in the breathtaking Swiss Alps. This role is ideal for those passionate about inspiring students aged 4 to 18.

Main Duties

• Teach across a diverse age and ability range, tailoring lessons to meet individual student needs.
• Contribute to the wider school community by participating in sporting events, extracurricular activities, and other enrichment opportunities.
• Engage as a valued member of our Boarding Department.
• Pursue continuous professional development and enhance your teaching practice.
• Mentor a small group of learners, monitoring their achievements and well-being.
• Demonstrate a clear commitment to safeguarding all young people.
• Handle subject-related administration as required and participate in departmental meetings.
• Adhere to the school’s assessment and reporting processes and attend parent meetings as necessary.

Person Specification

• Possesses a good honours degree and/or a further degree in a directly-related subject.
• Demonstrates a commitment to the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
• Exudes passion for the subject and inspires enthusiasm in others.
• You are open to embracing developments and innovations in teaching and learning, willing to experiment with new practices.
• Available to supervise learners completing the MYP Personal Project or the DP Extended Essay.
• Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (native level).
• Shares and supports the educational vision of La Garenne International School, contributing to both co-curricular and pastoral aspects of school life.
• Brings strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues and school leadership.
• Possesses strong ICT competence and a willingness to adopt new technologies.
