Job Purpose

The Boxing Coach will be a highly motivated and experienced professional responsible for providing expert instruction in boxing. This role involves collaborating closely with the school's character education department to develop and deliver a comprehensive boxing programme that fosters physical fitness, discipline, respect, and self-confidence among students of various skill levels.

Other Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Instruction & Coaching:
    • Plan and conduct engaging boxing classes in accordance with the school’s curriculum guidelines.
    • Provide individualised coaching and feedback to enhance students' boxing skills, catering to all levels.
  • Student Development:
    • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes personal growth and discipline.
    • Mentor students to foster their personal and athletic development while encouraging sportsmanship.
    • Track and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback to students, parents, and school administrators as necessary.
  • Programme Management:
    • Ensure the proper use and care of training equipment, maintaining an organized and clean training space.
    • Adhere to the school's policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Communication & Collaboration:
    • Maintain open communication with the Director of Character and students to address any questions or concerns.
    • Coordinate training schedules, class sessions, and event dates with the school's activity coordinator.
    • Attend meetings with school staff to discuss programme goals and progression.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Perform any other tasks as reasonably required by the Director of Character Education to support the smooth running of activities.
    • Implement and understand all school policies and procedures, particularly those related to safeguarding children and young people.
    • Uphold the School's Guiding Principles and ethos at all times.
