About the Role

Albatross AI is a leading AI Software Engineering Company that drives real-time discovery and search from live user interactions. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to build and maintain scalable backend services while delivering high-impact, scalable systems. This role demands deep expertise in distributed systems architecture and hands-on leadership of complex technical initiatives in a data-intensive fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Go, Node.js (TypeScript), Rust, Python, and WebAssembly (WASM).
• Own system architecture, including microservices, asynchronous integrations, and ETL pipelines.
• Implement complex business and data-processing logic, including accounting workflows, reporting systems, and financial software integrations.
• Improve system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with the CTO, product, and customer-facing teams on solution design.
• Mentor engineers and establish backend engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience.
• Proven expertise in backend development with Go, Node.js, Rust, Python, and WASM.
• Deep experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and production deployments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives from conception to completion.
• Experience with accounting or financial software systems.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken at C1 level or higher).
