Role Overview

We are seeking a senior professional for a position with global responsibilities based in Baden, Switzerland. Reporting to the Group General Counsel, you will play a vital role in defining and implementing global Integrity procedures, including awareness and training initiatives. You will provide legal support, contract guidance, dispute management, and regulatory advice, while serving as the secretary to one of the Board committees. This position will enable you to embody our values of integrity, responsibility, and sustainable growth within our global legal and compliance framework.

Your Responsibilities

Integrity

• Support continuous improvement and implementation of Global Integrity and data privacy procedures, including the Group Code of Conduct, in collaboration with the Group Integrity Officer.
• Design and deliver awareness and training concepts, including content creation, delivery modes, training administration, and reporting, while leveraging AI technology for enhanced efficiency.
• Manage parts of the Accelleron global compliance program, incorporating appropriate internal controls and data analytics to prevent and detect potential breaches.
• Implement and operate retaliation-free reporting channels accessible to all stakeholders.
• Coordinate internal investigations with external resources, ensuring effective case resolution and disciplinary actions as necessary.

Senior Legal Counsel (Global and Region)

• Structure, draft, review, and negotiate strategic collaboration agreements, joint ventures, and M&A agreements, managing respective deal processes including outside counsel oversight and due diligence.
• Provide legal advice to global management and regional teams, safeguarding the organization's legal interests and managing disputes.
• Develop contract standards and offer contract review and negotiation support for all types of commercial agreements.
• Design and implement relevant training programs.

Global Governance

• Participate as a member of the global Legal, Integrity & Intellectual Property team, engaging in global projects including legal technology initiatives.
• Serve as Secretary to a committee of the Board of Directors.
• Support regulatory developments pertinent to our business strategy, including geopolitics, data, AI, and sustainability initiatives.
• Assist the Group Trade Compliance Officer with sanctions and export controls management.
• Oversee external service providers, including legal counsel, while adhering to financial targets and constraints.

Your Background

• Master of Laws degree from a reputable law school and bar admission.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience in an international business context.
• Experience in establishing and managing compliance processes, focusing on areas such as anti-bribery and corruption, antitrust, sanctions/export controls, or data/AI governance.
• Demonstrated curiosity and skill in utilizing data, analytics, and artificial intelligence to enhance business effectiveness and insights.
• High level of professional ethics and integrity, combined with sound judgment and risk-based analytical abilities.
• Exceptional stakeholder communication skills.
• Fluency in both oral and written English & German is essential; proficiency in French, Spanish, or additional languages is a plus.
