Job Description

As a Project Manager – Industrial Digitalization, you will oversee Manufacturing IT and digitalization projects from inception to implementation, ensuring the successful integration of essential systems.
Your key responsibilities will include driving the digitalization and IT scope within factory investment projects, which encompasses equipment integration, control systems, automation, and manufacturing applications.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead industrial digitalization and Manufacturing IT projects from initial concept through adoption.
- Manage scope, timeline, budget, risks, and stakeholder alignment to ensure successful outcomes.
- Oversee IT workstreams within factory investment projects, ensuring integration between processes, systems, and enterprise IT.
- Support testing and commissioning activities from an IT perspective.
- Translate operational needs into solution concepts and collaborate with IT, automation, and technical experts for architecture decisions.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders, equipment suppliers, IT teams, and external partners.
Your Background
- 5+ years of experience managing IT or digitalization projects, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and integration of shopfloor systems with enterprise IT.
- Proficient in requirements engineering, process analysis, and solution design.
- Experience with IT systems in manufacturing such as MES, SAP, WMS, or industrial data platforms.
- Familiarity with industrial automation/control systems and IT/OT integration is a plus.
- Proven track record in managing cross-functional stakeholders, budgets, and project timelines.
- Structured, hands-on, and solution-oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Fluency in English and German (both written and spoken).
