Your Mission

Job Description

• Engineering Solutions: Provide innovative engineering solutions and develop components from concept level to serial production, contributing to next-generation Direct Air Capturing products.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of design projects.
• Product Design & CAD: Create and optimize product designs using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) to produce 3D parts, component assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Design Documentation: Maintain accurate design documentation including drawings, specifications, and bills of materials, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
• Prototype Development & Testing: Support the fabrication and testing of prototypes, conduct basic tests and experiments to validate design concepts, and troubleshoot issues.
• Quality Assurance & Improvement: Participate in design reviews and quality assurance processes to ensure continuous product improvement.

Your Story

Requirements

• Education & Engineering Expertise: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a strong understanding of engineering principles and development processes.
• Mechanical Design & Manufacturing Knowledge: At least 5 years of experience in designing mechanical components for industrial equipment, with expertise in material selection and compliance with industry regulations.
• CAD Proficiency & Technical Skills: Proficient in CAD software for designing mechanical parts, with knowledge of geometric tolerancing preferred.
• Attention to Detail & Problem-Solving: Strong organizational skills and enthusiasm for problem-solving and creative thinking.
• Communication & Teamwork: Excellent communication skills in English, strong mentoring abilities, and a collaborative spirit.

Formalities:

This position is based in Opfikon, Zurich, with a requirement to work onsite at least three days a week. The job title percentage indicates flexibility, allowing you to choose between full-time or part-time options based on your preferences.
