Your Mission

As a Commercial & Business Operations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in building scalable operations across Climeworks Solutions, including our commercial, project sourcing, and customer success teams. You will translate business needs into robust processes, tools, analytics, and ways of working, enabling us to move faster, collaborate better, and make data-driven decisions. Together with your team, you will help design and scale digital products, including a platform that enables customers to manage and monitor their carbon removal portfolios, thereby enhancing transparency, accessibility, and impact visibility in the market. This is a problem-solver and builder role for someone excited to transform ambiguity into structure and shape the operational framework of a high-growth commercial organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process & Operational Excellence: Define and continuously improve processes across marketing, business development, sales, project sourcing, and customer success towards standardized, digital, and scalable ways of working. Drive adoption through documentation, training, and continuous feedback, acting as a trusted partner for operational topics.
  • Business Analysis & Solution Design: Lead stakeholder meetings and workshops to understand business needs, map processes, and translate them into practical solutions. Prioritize requests, manage trade-offs, and ensure improvements align with business priorities and system architecture.
  • Salesforce Administration: Serve as the Salesforce Administrator for Climeworks Solutions, working closely with the Senior Salesforce Engineer and Tech team. Optimize Salesforce and related tools to facilitate efficient and effective system usage.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Create reports and dashboards using Salesforce, Power BI, and Microsoft tools to monitor business performance and support decision-making. Conduct ad-hoc analyses and manage data quality controls.
  • Project & Change Management: Drive operational improvement initiatives, coordinate stakeholders, and communicate outcomes through clear project updates and presentations.
  • Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain an internal knowledge base of processes and tools, ensuring easy access to best practices for teams.

Your Story

  • Education & Experience: A university degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment such as consulting, technology, scale-ups, or startups.
  • Commercial Operations & Business Analysis: Proven experience in business analysis or revenue operations, with the ability to translate business requirements into system configurations and practical solutions.
  • Salesforce & Business Systems: Hands-on experience administering Salesforce, including user support, configuration, and reporting. Familiarity with other commercial technology stacks, including marketing automation and ERP systems, is advantageous.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong collaborative skills to effectively engage with stakeholders across various functions and levels.
  • Organisation & Execution: Ability to convert ambiguous challenges into actionable work packages, prioritize effectively, and drive initiatives to completion with diligence and proactivity.
  • Mindset & Ownership: A proactive and responsible approach, demonstrating strong business judgment and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Language: Excellent written and spoken English skills.

Formalities

This position is based in Zurich, and we ask that you work onsite at least three days per week.
