SAP ABAP Developer (AI & Automation) | Germany

A long-term opportunity is available for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join a cutting-edge program focused on automation, AI enablement, and next-generation SAP platform development. Working within a Product & Portfolio Management (PPMS) environment, you'll play a key role in delivering innovative solutions that support AI-driven initiatives and streamline complex business processes.

In this position, you'll design, develop, and enhance ABAP-based functionality, leveraging technologies such as ABAP Objects, CDS Views, and OData services. You'll contribute to automation initiatives, help build AI-supported capabilities and integrations, and work closely with stakeholders to deliver solutions that reduce manual effort and drive greater efficiency across the platform.

Project Details

• Role: SAP ABAP Developer
• Duration: Until the end of 2026 (Potential to extend for a further 12 months)
• Workload: 4/5 days per week
• Location: Germany (Hybrid - 1/2 days per week on-site)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex SAP ABAP solutions
• Develop and enhance services using ABAP Objects, CDS Views, and OData
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the SAP landscape
• Support the development of AI-enabled automation solutions and integrations
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years' hands-on SAP ABAP development experience
• Strong expertise in ABAP Objects
• Proven experience with ABAP CDS Views
• OData development experience
• Ability to deliver within complex and evolving environments
• Exposure to AI technologies, automation tools, or productivity-enhancing AI solutions
• Fluent German and strong English communication skills
