Job Opportunity: Business Rates Surveyor
We are representing a prominent property consultancy in search of an experienced and motivated Business Rates Surveyor to join their expanding team. This fully remote role offers the flexibility to work from home while managing a diverse portfolio of commercial properties across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of commercial properties for business rates purposes.
- Review rateable values and identify opportunities for reductions.
- Prepare, submit, and negotiate business rates appeals through all stages (Check, Challenge, Appeal).
- Liaise with the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) and other relevant authorities.
- Provide strategic advice to clients on business rates liabilities and mitigation strategies.
- Analyse property data, lease information, and market evidence.
- Maintain accurate records and case files using internal systems.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication.
- Stay up to date with legislation, case law, and industry developments.
