Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the release process of series components (similar to PPAP) and ensuring stable supplier processes in serial production. Reporting to the Team Lead SCM Quality, you will analyze supplier production processes in depth, perform on-site inspections, identify and assess risks, and review FMEAs as well as production and inspection plans to ensure that all specifications are reliably fulfilled. With your strong understanding of technical drawings and your focus on effectiveness, you will take the lead and create a visible impact.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive projects forward, employing clear communication and an organized, solution-oriented approach. Your contribution will be key in ensuring high-quality products and supporting the company’s commitment to operational excellence.
Your Responsibilities
- Coordinate, review, and release production processes (similar to PPAP) to ensure quality in serial production at the supplier.
- Evaluate supplier processes and define improvement actions.
- Check risk analyses and production and inspection plans to ensure they are complete, detailed, and effective.
- Support suppliers during the sample process and provide professional assistance.
- Perform on-site inspections at suppliers and document the results.
- Requalify already released processes at suppliers on-site for specific parts.
- Ensure part quality together with technical purchasing and incoming goods inspection.
- Lead and drive projects to improve processes.
- Create and analyze quality KPIs and define actions based on the results.
- Participate in procurement technical analysis.
Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a similar technical field.
- Good understanding of technical drawings and specifications.
- At least 3–5 years of experience as a quality specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of quality control at suppliers.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other industry-specific quality standards.
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP).
- Good knowledge of SAP and MS Office applications.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and Green Belt certification is an advantage.
- Experience in supplier audits and process validations is a plus.
- Strong ability to collaborate with various departments.
- Experience in an international environment with strong communication skills.
- Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written.
- Willingness to travel internationally, up to 20% of the time.
