Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for the design, configuration, and execution of control systems for gas turbines, focusing on hardware specification, engineering, and integration in collaboration with system suppliers. Your key tasks will include:
- Preparing specifications for gas turbine control systems and components
- Establishing and maintaining design rules in compliance with technical requirements and applicable codes and standards
- Engineering field loops for sensors and actuators
- Initiating and supporting the preparation of design, manufacturing, and commissioning documentation
- Configuring and customizing the gas turbine control system according to project requirements
- Facilitating procurement activities and supplier selection with technical expertise
- Supporting and supervising suppliers during project execution
- Specifying and conducting factory acceptance tests
- Providing troubleshooting assistance during erection and commissioning
- Conducting handover to the service organization
Your Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in electrical or automation engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in designing and executing control and automation systems for power or process plants
- A solid understanding of industrial automation products and components
- Expertise in I&C loop and bus network design
- Familiarity with applicable codes and standards
- Proficiency in working with integrated planning and engineering tools (preferably EPLAN)
- Knowledge of functional safety and cyber-security (a plus)
- A strong commitment to delivering quality results within time and cost parameters
- A team-oriented mindset
- Excellent command of English; German is an advantage, and knowledge of Italian is a plus
