Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d) to join our high-speed turbocharger product development team in Baden, Switzerland. In this role, you will take on engineering responsibilities for the development and lifecycle support of high-speed turbochargers. You will collaborate closely with our supply, sales, and service teams while also working with central R&D.

Your Responsibilities

  • Execute engineering calculations, including tolerance stack-ups (with statistics) for static and rotating turbocharger parts and assemblies.
  • Initiate, supervise, and analyze FEM/CFD simulations along with tests in internal and external laboratories, including field tests on customer sites and metallurgical lab investigations.
  • Perform technical root cause analyses for product reliability incidents and develop countermeasures.
  • Advance the existing product range in collaboration with sales, service, and central R&D.
  • Drive continuous process improvement, ensure proper documentation, and actively maintain knowledge management.
  • Provide technical support to supply chain, sales, and service teams, and prepare and update instructions and product manuals.
  • Manage product development/R&D projects, ensuring planning and accountability for technology, costs, and deadlines while coordinating cross-divisional collaboration to meet project goals.

Your Background

  • A university degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably a Master's degree (or equivalent), along with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of state-of-the-art development methods.
  • Excellent engineering, project management, and communication skills.
  • A commitment to a team-oriented, dynamic working environment.
  • Self-driven, organized, and dedicated to work.
  • Analytical skills with an ability to navigate complex situations and apply lateral thinking to generate innovative solutions.
  • Fluency in both English and German is required.
