Position Overview

This global position, reporting to the Head of IS Production & Value Chain in Switzerland, involves joining a skilled IT team to define, govern, and continuously enhance Accelleron’s enterprise data migration capabilities across various business applications and strategic transformation programs.

The selected candidate will serve as the IS Workstream Lead for Data Migration within Program Phoenix, Accelleron’s SAP S/4HANA transformation initiative. This role entails end-to-end ownership of data migration governance, planning, execution oversight, cutover readiness, and post-go-live stabilization.

Your Responsibilities

  • Define, maintain, and govern the overall data migration strategy for Program Phoenix and future business transformation initiatives.
  • Lead end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution oversight of data migration activities across all business workstreams and deployment waves.
  • Establish and govern migration methodologies, templates, quality gates, reconciliation procedures, and readiness criteria.
  • Drive data extraction, profiling, cleansing, enrichment, validation, and migration activities in close collaboration with business and technical teams.
  • Define and oversee mock loads, migration testing cycles, dress rehearsals, and production migration activities.
  • Coordinate data ownership and accountability across business process owners, subject matter experts, and implementation partners.
  • Ensure migration risks, dependencies, quality issues, and data compliance concerns are identified, tracked, and proactively resolved.
  • Define and execute the integrated cutover plan with business, IT, and implementation partners.
  • Lead cutover execution and deployment readiness activities to ensure a controlled and reliable transition to SAP S/4HANA.
  • Govern hypercare activities following go-live, coordinating issue resolution, stabilization, and business continuity measures.
  • Establish executive-level reporting, dashboards, and decision support artifacts for program leadership and Steering Committees.
  • Build and continuously improve Accelleron’s long-term data migration capabilities, standards, templates, and best practices for future programs.
  • Define and manage long-term data lifecycle and Run responsibilities beyond Phoenix, including SAP archiving governance and data retention policy definition.

Your Background & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience leading data migration initiatives within large-scale ERP or digital transformation programs.
  • Proven experience in SAP transformations, preferably SAP S/4HANA implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of data migration methodologies, governance frameworks, migration tooling, and reconciliation processes.
  • Experience managing complex data migration lifecycles including extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and cutover execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate business stakeholders, IT teams, implementation partners, and external vendors across multiple functions and countries.
  • Strong understanding of SAP business processes and master data domains including customers, suppliers, materials, finance, and manufacturing-related data.
  • Familiarity with data migration tools and platforms such as SAP Data Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services, SNP, or comparable solutions.
  • Strong project management, planning, and risk management capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in international and cross-functional environments.
  • Fluent English communication skills (verbal and written); proficiency in German is a strong advantage.
