Join Our Team as a Network & Infrastructure Engineer

Are you an expert in network and infrastructure, ready to drive the delivery of secure, scalable IT and OT environments? Proclinical is seeking a Network & Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and governance of network architectures within a dynamic project environment. This role focuses on integrating IT and OT systems, ensuring secure and scalable infrastructure solutions, and aligning with global standards.

In this position, you will play a crucial role in coordinating activities across teams, managing external service providers, and supporting compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities

• Define, design, and oversee network architectures for enterprise and industrial environments, ensuring alignment with global IT-OT standards.
• Design and implement segmented IT-OT architecture zones, including DMZs, VLANs, and secure data flows, supporting SCADA, PLC, DCS, MES, and shop-floor systems.
• Act as the primary infrastructure lead, coordinating network and hosting activities to ensure infrastructure readiness and support project milestones.
• Drive alignment between project designs and corporate standards, conducting architecture reviews and approvals.
• Support site deployment activities, including assessments, design validation, cutovers, testing, and go-live.
• Coordinate integration of on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-based network and hosting platforms into end-to-end infrastructure solutions.
• Oversee external service providers, system integrators, and network vendors, ensuring quality and compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure adherence to GxP, data integrity, and cybersecurity standards (e.g., IEC 62443, ISO 27001) and support audits and risk assessments.
• Maintain architecture documentation and validation-relevant deliverables.
• Transition into an on-site owner for IT run services post-project go-live, establishing support models, monitoring, and service KPIs.
• Drive network standardization, modernization, and lifecycle management initiatives.

Key Skills and Requirements

• Expertise in network architecture and infrastructure design, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, firewalls, and network security.
• Experience in IT-OT integration and segmentation concepts, with a track record of delivering large-scale projects.
• Ability to translate architectural designs into practical, sustainable operational solutions.
• Knowledge of GxP-regulated environments and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with IT service management, incident/problem management, and operations governance.
• Strong coordination and communication skills across global teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus.
• Experience in regulated industries is advantageous.
