Job Opportunity: Senior SAP Technical Transformation Leader

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Technical Transformation Leader with extensive hands-on expertise in S/4HANA solution design, integration, data replication, and Clean Core experience. In this pivotal role, you will shape and deliver complex SAP transformation programs across multinational ERP landscapes, bridging business, functional, and technical teams while guiding global delivery teams through assessment, planning, implementation, and stabilization stages.

As a trusted advisor to senior clients, you will assist in defining robust SAP S/4HANA landscapes, making informed architecture and integration decisions, enhancing development quality, and achieving measurable transformation outcomes through practical applications of SAP BTP, cloud solutions, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities.

Role Focus

Your focus will be on technical transformation of SAP S/4HANA, integration architecture, Clean Core implementation, SAP BTP, and innovation enabled by GenAI/Joule.

Your Impact

• Lead S/4HANA Technical Transformation: Oversee technical assessments, readiness checks, impact analysis, retrofit strategies, risk management, test planning, cutover support, and governance for S/4HANA implementations and upgrades.
• Shape Integration and Data Replication Solutions: Design integration strategies between SAP and non-SAP systems, including Central Finance, MDG, BW/BW4HANA, and various external applications utilizing technologies like SLT, SAP CPI, and MuleSoft.
• Drive Clean Core and Extensibility: Define pragmatic approaches for custom code management, RICEFW, Fiori, CDS views, ABAP developments, and SAP BTP extensions.
• Lead Finance Transformation Technology Streams: Support S/4HANA Finance and Central Finance initiatives focusing on diverse financial operations including Record to Report, Procure to Pay, and financial close processes.
• Manage Global Teams: Direct multidisciplinary teams comprising consultants, developers, and technology partners, ensuring high standards of delivery quality and coding practices.
• Bridge Stakeholders: Align enterprise architects, process owners, and program leadership across various landscapes and geographies, facilitating effective decision-making.
• Innovate through SAP Delivery: Assess practical applications of SAP BTP, SAP Business AI, automation, and analytics in real transformation scenarios.
• Contribute to Commercial Growth: Lead or assist in shaping solutions, estimating efforts, preparing proposals, and engaging in client presentations for complex SAP opportunities.
• Enhance Thought Leadership and Talent: Develop reusable assets and training material while mentoring others in SAP technical transformation topics.

Your Skill Set

It is suitable for Manager and Senior Manager level candidates with a proven track record in leading significant S/4HANA technical and integration streams within complex client environments.

Expected Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Informatics, Business Administration with a technology focus, or a related field.
• SAP Technical Transformation Experience: At least 10 years of experience in SAP technical solution design, S/4HANA implementation, or SAP-enabled business transformation.
• S/4HANA Experience: Familiarity with multiple S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, or conversion programs, ideally across recent versions.
• Technical Solution Design Expertise: Strong skills in SAP ABAP, RICEFW, CDS, Fiori, HANA, performance tuning, and debugging.
• Integration and Replication Expertise: Demonstrated experience with various integration and replication tools and technologies.
• Finance Process Exposure: Strong background in S/4HANA Finance or Central Finance, particularly regarding financial operations.
• Cloud Adoption and Innovation Mindset: Practical knowledge of Clean Core principles and AI-enabled SAP capabilities.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams across various geographies.
• Client Management Experience: Ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and delivery partners.
• Commercial Experience: Experience in supporting proposals and client engagements.
• Language Proficiency: Excellent written and spoken English.

Desirable Qualifications

• SAP certifications related to ABAP, SAP BTP, S/4HANA Finance, or similar credentials.
• Experience with S/4HANA Public Cloud or agile delivery approaches.
• Exposure to multinational SAP landscapes with a variety of ERP systems.
• Relevant experience in integration with various applications and platforms.
• Industry experience in sectors such as manufacturing, finance, or pharmaceuticals.
• Fluency in German or French is a significant advantage.
• An MBA or advanced technology degree is a plus.
