To strengthen our team, we are seeking a dynamic individual who is passionate about developing innovative learning experiences "hands-on"—from the initial idea to finished prototyping—especially regarding exciting new formats for the ETH Heilbronn location.
About the Role
As part of the Media and Methods Lab (MML) within the Unit for Teaching and Learning at ETH Zurich, you will design and create future-oriented, interactive teaching and learning experiences in multidisciplinary teams for ETH Zurich, with a primary focus on the virtual development of the new ETH Campus Heilbronn. The position is initially limited until the end of 2026, with the potential for extension, subject to confirmation.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Develops didactic concepts for digital media with a focus on Mixed/Virtual Reality and digital cooperation.
- Actively implements virtual modules in co-design—from the idea through prototyping to implementation—creating innovative learning experiences in collaboration with the multidisciplinary MML team (Audiovisual Media Design, Storytelling, Game Design, Programming) and various ETH departments.
- Takes initiative and drives the flexible project management and organization of sub-projects while contributing new ideas and developments.
Qualifications:
- In-depth expertise in Learning Design (didactic integration of media, authoring tools, interaction).
- Practical experience in the production of digital learning modules at the university level.
- Experience in the planning, structuring, development, and implementation of learning modules.
- A genuine interest in scientific topics and interdisciplinary work.
- Proficient communication skills in German and English.
- Teaching experience and/or a formal teaching qualification.
- Agile, quick to learn, with a strong interest in media and tech developments.
- University degree in a relevant field.
- A Plus: Knowledge of UI/UX Design or Interaction Design, AI affinity, and familiarity with daily use of AI tools.
