Job Opportunity: Lab Operations & Materials Specialist (f/m/d)

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Operations & Materials Specialist to join our Quality Control department. You will become part of a talented and collaborative team that works closely with production, quality assurance, and supply chain. Our team comprises both experienced professionals and new members, fostering a diverse environment where everyone can learn from one another. What You Can Expect:

In this essential role, you will ensure the smooth operation of our microbiology laboratory and play a key part in maintaining the highest quality standards. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining laboratory organization, hygiene, and sterilization processes, including glassware cleaning and autoclaving.
  • Managing laboratory waste streams and coordinating laboratory garment services (collection, exchange, and distribution of clean lab coats).
  • Maintaining accurate laboratory documentation, archiving, and structured filing systems.
  • Overseeing inventory management, Kanban processes, demand-based ordering, and material registration in LIMS.
  • Managing storage, labeling, and system-based removal of released, consumed, or expired materials.
  • Supporting laboratory operations through water sampling, LIMS registration, and preparation of culture media for microbiological analyses.
  • Coordinating equipment maintenance, repairs, qualification, and calibration activities to ensure laboratory readiness.

About You:

  • Initial experience in a laboratory environment or a comparable role; experience in the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage.
  • A careful, structured, and reliable working style with strong attention to detail.
  • A strong awareness of quality and hygiene standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a high level of accountability.
  • A team-oriented, proactive, and hands-on mindset with a willingness to support various laboratory activities.
  • Confident use of IT systems; experience with LIMS is considered a plus.
  • Fluent in German, both written and spoken; English language skills are an advantage.
