We are seeking a passionate and experienced leader to build and steer our newly formed Outbound Transportation & Last Mile Delivery Services team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of how we deliver our products to customers across all our channels, including e-commerce, B2B wholesale, and our retail stores.
As a key contributor, you will be responsible for developing the global omnichannel strategy for outbound transportation and last-mile delivery, ensuring a premium experience for our customers while driving efficiency and innovation in our logistics network. This global role is based at On Labs in Zurich, and you will report directly to the Director of Distribution & Logistics.
Your Mission
- Enhance Customer Experience: Own the delivery journey from our warehouses to the customer's doorstep, aiming to enhance the customer experience and deliver the 'WOW' factor every time.
- Develop and Execute Global Omnichannel Delivery Strategy: Define the vision and roadmap for our outbound transportation network, including last-mile delivery, to support global growth across all channels.
- Define and Implement Last-Mile Delivery Operating Model: Establish the principles, processes, and systems for a seamless and efficient last-mile delivery experience.
- Build and Manage a Multi-Carrier Network: Work closely with procurement to develop a portfolio of regional and global carriers to optimize service, cost, and speed.
- Set the Standard for Delivery Excellence: Define and implement global standards, SOPs, SLAs, and KPIs for last-mile delivery, while establishing a framework for performance monitoring and reporting.
- Drive Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Seek opportunities to optimize our transportation network, reduce costs, and explore new delivery models and trends.
- Act as Global Subject Matter Expert: Develop and share best practices to build outbound transportation competencies within regional and local logistics teams.
- Collaborate Across the Organization: Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders within our Global Operations and Commercial teams to ensure seamless carrier integration and drive strategic initiatives.
Your Story
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in logistics, focusing on outbound transportation and last-mile delivery in an omnichannel environment, preferably in a fast-growing global retail, fashion, or sportswear company.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful transportation strategies and managing complex carrier networks.
- Data-driven decision-maker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experienced leader with a passion for building and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong communicator and collaborator, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in Google tools and experienced with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other relevant logistics technologies.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
