Job Opportunity: GNC Engineer
Darwin Space is currently seeking a skilled GNC Engineer to join our team in Luxembourg. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about space and engineering, and has the expertise to contribute effectively to our projects.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in GNC engineering.
- Master’s degree in Control Engineering, Space Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with lab-based system identification and characterization of real systems.
- Involvement in all phases of product development, from design to testing and validation.
- Experience with space projects and/or multi-disciplinary systems.
- Familiarity with embedded systems or real-time control.
- Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink and programming languages such as Python.
- Comfortable with Linux-based environments or able to learn quickly.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Teams or able to learn quickly.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English along with great interpersonal abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and high standards for task execution.
- Able to thrive in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment.
- Produces well-structured and high-quality technical documentation.
- A reliable and enjoyable colleague to work with.
- Citizen of a member state of both the EU and NATO.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and validate control systems for pointing, acquisition, and tracking.
- Perform system modeling, identification, and lab characterization of hardware and software components.
- Collaborate and interface with multidisciplinary teams across hardware and software domains.
- Write and review comprehensive documentation.
