Job Description

You have a strong background in international trade, think in processes, and stay on top of complex export regulations. In this key role as an Export & Import Specialist, you will manage our global trade flows end-to-end, ensuring compliance and smooth operations while actively shaping efficient logistics solutions that have a real impact. This is a role for professionals who take ownership and think globally.

What you will be doing

• Run import and export processes: handle and coordinate import and export orders from order placement to final delivery, including all required documentation.
• Be the go-to person: support internal teams and external partners with questions around transport, export processes, and customs.
• Keep things compliant: ensure that trade regulations, export control rules, and internal guidelines are followed.
• Take care of licences and payments: obtain export and re-export licences (including US regulations) and coordinate letters of credit and bank guarantees.
• Manage logistics and costs: book freight, organise dangerous goods shipments (IATA, ADR), and check freight and customs costs.

What you should bring

• International trade experience: 3-5 years of experience in import and export order handling.
• Relevant training: further training in export or foreign trade, ideally with a background in logistics or an industrial environment.
• Good regulatory understanding: familiarity with export control rules and US re-export regulations.
• Hands-on mindset: ability to work independently, take initiative, and understand products, technologies, and customer needs.
• Strong communication skills: proficiency in German and English, with a structured, process-oriented approach.
