Job Description

In the role of System Engineer Customer Solutions, you will work where complex systems, software, and customer requirements converge. You will be responsible for bringing systems into operation worldwide, analyzing issues down to their root causes, and translating customer needs into robust, practical solutions. This is a position for engineers who take ownership, possess deep technical expertise, and seek to create visible impact.

What You Will Be Doing

• Commission Systems: Support installation teams and customers during system commissioning and handover.
• Solve Technical Issues: Analyze and resolve software and hardware problems, both internally and on customer sites.
• Translate Requirements: Specify customer-specific system and software requirements, collaborating closely with product management.
• Ensure Quality: Test and qualify system software and new system components.
• Structure Knowledge: Maintain technical system documentation and coordinate technical topics across service, engineering, and product management.

What You Should Bring

• Technical Background: A technical education or degree (HF, FH, ETH or equivalent) in system engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Industry Experience: Experience in vacuum technology, the semiconductor industry, or equipment engineering is an advantage.
• Hands-on Mindset: Ability to work independently, solution-oriented, and maintain focus even in complex situations.
• Communication Skills: Clear and confident communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Languages & Mobility: Fluency in English and German, with a willingness to travel approximately 10% worldwide.
