Job Description

The Risk Management & Compliance function within Core Business Supply leads, directs, and supports the business in safeguarding the IKEA brand. Through effective monitoring and follow-up, we promote risk-aware decision-making and practical business control. Risk Management & Compliance collaborates closely with various organizational levels and provides support to:

  • Strengthen the IKEA brand and protect our assets
  • Maintain a culture that prioritizes security awareness
  • Steer and lead compliance activities

As the Ethics & Integrity Leader, you will play a crucial role in driving the Ethics and Integrity capability as part of the Risk Management and Compliance strategic direction. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading global corporate investigations involving allegations of non-compliance with the Inter IKEA Group Code of Conduct. This includes planning, fact-finding, document analysis, conducting non-confrontational interviews, and report writing on misconduct concerns related to issues such as corruption and harassment.
  • Acting as a proactive ambassador for Ethics & Integrity across the organization, addressing ad-hoc questions and providing guidance on various ethics-related topics.
  • Supporting the broader Ethics & Integrity capability through analysis of key metrics, developing dashboards, data analytics, identifying trends, and evaluating previous cases to drive continuous improvement.
  • Providing expertise and leadership in developing and enhancing steering documents and training related to Ethics & Integrity (e.g., investigative capabilities, anti-corruption, code of conduct). Facilitating training sessions as needed.
  • Overseeing quality assurance for Ethics & Integrity cases to ensure consistency, fairness, and compliance with internal policies, IKEA values, and legal requirements.
  • Mentoring and developing local co-workers to enhance investigative capabilities as a center of expertise.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, the following knowledge, skills, and experiences are important:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in investigations within a global and culturally diverse environment.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in ethics, compliance, or investigations (e.g., Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, relevant Bachelor's or Master's Degree, or equivalent professional experience).
  • Knowledge of legal requirements and best practices (e.g., whistleblowing, anti-corruption, personal data handling, harassment, discrimination).
  • Understanding of compliance with a Code of Conduct and related policies.
  • Strong English language skills; proficiency in additional languages is a significant advantage.
  • Robust leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including verbal, written, facilitation, coaching, active listening, and delivering presentations to senior management.
  • Analytical skills, critical thinking abilities, proficient interviewing skills, open-source research skills, and e-discovery expertise.
