Job Description

IKEA is on a transformative journey to enhance our digital capabilities, integrating core business processes, people, data, and technology to enable us to become an even better home furnishing company for the future. As part of this initiative, we are looking for exceptional talent for the position of Business Analyst.

In this role, you will closely collaborate with relevant stakeholders, clarifying business needs and managing requirements to deliver business value in a rapidly growing environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying potential improvements by eliciting, analyzing, challenging, and documenting all business needs.
  • Assessing business consequences and risks associated with solution alternatives for processes, organization, tools, and information.
  • Ensuring the quality and traceability of stakeholder needs and business requirements, supporting the evaluation of solution alternatives.
  • Communicating, clarifying, and safeguarding evolving business needs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Cooperating with architects and developers to clarify business needs during the definition and validation of high-level & low-level designs.
  • Reviewing test plans and test cases to ensure compliance with requirements and supporting the planning and execution of testing activities.
  • Securing and handing over requirement-related artifacts to development and line organizations.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in business analysis and modeling, as well as requirements management processes in accordance with BABOK.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to discern the big picture while also recognizing intricate details, identifying patterns, and structuring complex information.
  • A strong desire to work in a global environment, foster learning opportunities, and understand the underlying 'Why?'.
  • Experience with large-scale ERP solutions like Infor M3 within the Finance domain.
  • Proficiency in test methods and tools focusing on acceptance testing, along with a solid understanding of unit, system, and integration testing.
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, understanding their needs while conveying your insights.
  • A role model for IKEA values, with excellent communication skills and the ability to forge trusting relationships.
  • A readiness to thrive in a dynamic environment where conditions may change rapidly, necessitating quick adaptations.

We also value:

  • A university degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in collaborating with global and/or remote teams.
  • Note for Switzerland: Candidates with a valid Swiss work permit or EU/EFTA citizenship are preferred due to lengthy permit processes.
