Job Description

As a Business Analyst, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to clarify business needs, manage requirements, and evaluate solutions, all to deliver significant business value in a rapidly growing environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying potential improvements by eliciting, analyzing, challenging, and documenting business needs.
  • Assessing the business consequences and risks associated with solution alternatives regarding processes, organization, tools, and information.
  • Ensuring the quality and traceability of stakeholder needs and business requirements while supporting the evaluation of solution alternatives.
  • Effectively communicating, clarifying, and safeguarding evolving business needs throughout a project or solution lifecycle.
  • Collaborating with architects and developers to clarify business needs during the definition and validation of high-level and low-level designs.
  • Reviewing test plans and test cases to ensure they comply with requirements while supporting the planning and execution of testing activities.
  • Securing and handing over requirement-related artifacts to development and line organizations.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in business analysis and modeling, as well as the requirements management process according to BABOK.
  • Excellent analytical skills, capable of seeing the big picture and the details, identifying patterns, and structuring complex information.
  • Eager to work in a global environment with a desire to understand the underlying reasons for decisions.
  • Experience with large-scale ERP solutions, specifically Infor M3, within the Finance domain.
  • Knowledge of test methods and tools, focusing on acceptance testing, and an understanding of unit, system, and integration testing.
  • Strong listening skills, able to engage with stakeholders, understand their needs, and communicate effectively.
  • Exemplifying IKEA values, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build trustworthy relationships.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment where requirements may shift rapidly, necessitating quick delivery of solutions.

Additionally, we believe you have:

  • A university degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience collaborating with global and/or remote teams.
  • Note for Switzerland: Due to the extended permit process, we prefer candidates with a valid Swiss work permit or EU/EFTA citizenship.
