Theseus Robotics Group AG is a Zürich-based ETH spin-off that develops autonomous dual-arm robots designed to restock supermarket shelves overnight. Our innovative technology is offered to retailers as Robotics-as-a-Service, revolutionizing the retail landscape.

Role Purpose

The CEO is responsible for leading the company and is accountable to the Board for transforming the business plan into funded, revenue-generating deployments with retailers both in Switzerland and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy and Financing: Set and execute the company's strategy and business plan; lead fundraising efforts, investor relations, and financial planning; report to the Board on company performance.
• Commercial Development: Cultivate and maintain relationships with retail and logistics customers; transition from demonstrations and pilot projects to paid deployments; develop pricing and go-to-market strategies.
• Operations and Supply Chain: Oversee hardware suppliers, manufacturing partners, and robot deployment operations both in Europe and abroad.
• Legal and Compliance: Manage contracts, employment, insurance, and regulatory matters with external counsel, ensuring readiness for every deployment.
• Organisation: Build and lead a team within the approved budget; set company goals and reporting routines while aligning the executive team on priorities.
• External Representation: Represent the company to customers, investors, suppliers, authorities, and the public, with travel requirements in Switzerland and abroad.

Required Profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field; a management or business qualification is advantageous.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a founder, CEO, or managing director role with full P&L responsibility.
• Proven track record of growing revenue in a technology-driven business, including B2B sales, commercial negotiations, and strategic partnerships.
• Experience in leading hardware, electronics, or mechatronics product development, including oversight of R&D teams and manufacturing facilities.
• Established experience in building and managing international supply chains and supplier networks across Europe, Asia, and North America.
• Strong background in software, machine learning, or data science, enabling effective leadership in a robotics/AI environment while collaborating credibly with engineers.
• Proven ability in fundraising, investor relations, and financial planning.
• Experience in leading teams of 20+ individuals across multiple functions.
• Willing to work full-time in person from the Zürich office and travel frequently.
