Position Overview

As our business and global value chain continue to grow, we are expanding our team and seeking a passionate Category Manager to help drive our long-term success. We are looking for someone who is committed to the sustainable development of our business in close cooperation with team members and various business divisions.

Role Responsibilities

• Responsible for achieving defined Supply Management targets (primarily quality, logistics, and total cost) for the assigned category.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies focused on optimizing total costs, product quality, and logistic performance.
• Integrate environmental considerations, such as the CO2 footprint of our products and value chain, into the strategy.
• Regularly review supply risks and implement appropriate risk mitigation actions to ensure a resilient supply chain.
• Oversee supplier evaluation, qualification, development, price negotiations, and frame agreement negotiations.
• Define and continuously improve the supply chain with a focus on reducing lead times and optimizing logistic processes.
• Represent the Supply Management team in product development projects and oversee ramp-up until serial release and stable supply.
• Manage the relocation of parts until first article inspection is passed and transfer to the buyer organization.
• Initiate and drive design modification requests in collaboration with design teams.
• Support the buyer organization in cases of supply escalation.

Your Background

• Master’s degree in industrial engineering or a related field.
• Professional experience as a Category Manager or Project Manager in an international context is a strong asset.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach paired with effective communication skills and tenacity in execution.
• Fluency in business English and German is required.
• Willingness to travel, up to 20% of the time.
