Position Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing materials that meet the required technical specifications, price points, delivery schedules, and terms within the Medium- / Low-Speed Division in Baden, Switzerland. Your activities will align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures, contributing to our overall success in the region.

Your Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Ownership: Manage the full purchasing cycle from validating PO MRP proposals to order creation, follow-up, and delivery, including express supply to the point of consumption.
  • Issue Resolution: Address day-to-day purchasing issues such as invoice queries and collaborate with suppliers to prevent problems.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and resolve supply issues to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Material Availability: Ensure the right levels of inventory in line with demand, and define and execute inventory reduction initiatives.
  • Master Data Maintenance: Monitor and resolve gaps in collaboration with Category Management.
  • MRP Process Optimization: Enhance the MRP process and escalate issues with Power users as necessary.
  • Accounting: Oversee invoice processing and creation of Credit/Debit notes.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure service quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Contract Compliance: Ensure adherence to supply agreements, framework contracts, and preferred vendor lists.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancement within the procurement process.
  • Stakeholder Support: Provide operational support to internal clients, understand their needs, and collaborate for informed purchasing decisions.

Your Background

  • Minimum of two years of professional experience in operational purchasing, ideally as a Buyer.
  • Solid knowledge of SAP ERP systems; experience with S/4HANA is a plus.
  • Proficiency in SAP and MS Office tools.
  • Strong communication skills in both German and English, written and spoken.
  • A collaborative mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
  • Relevant further education in the area of expertise is desirable.
