About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Application Owner – Finance Applications to reinforce our IT capabilities. This full-time position, based in Baden, Switzerland, offers an unlimited contract and a hybrid working model.
In this pivotal and hands-on role, you will lead end-to-end project management for finance-related information systems, encompassing both SAP ERP and non-SAP applications. You will take ownership of key finance applications and play an essential role in driving automation and AI initiatives to enhance efficiency and digital maturity across the finance function.
You will report to the IS Finance Manager located in Baden and be part of a global IT organization. This position supports global finance projects and operations managed from Accelleron’s headquarters in Switzerland, offering a unique opportunity to collaborate with international teams and contribute to the evolution of finance technology within our company.
Your Responsibilities
- Application Ownership for Non-ERP Tools: Oversee the management of finance applications, focusing primarily on APOC (Accounts Payables on Cloud) and applications related to accounting, controlling, tax, and treasury. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously enhance these applications, ensuring stability, performance, and security while proactively addressing risks.
- User Support & Issue Resolution: Provide ongoing support to end-users, resolving issues and ensuring a positive user experience. Address interface issues with SAP ERP in collaboration with SAP CPI and SAP FI-CO technical teams, coordinating resolutions with vendors and internal IT teams effectively.
- IS Project Management for Finance Applications: Lead end-to-end project management for finance-related IS initiatives, ensuring seamless implementation of new solutions and functionalities within SAP. Define project scopes, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with business objectives while overseeing technical teams and collecting requirements from finance stakeholders to meet their needs.
- Automation and AI Leadership: Drive projects aimed at enhancing finance processes through automation and AI, partnering with finance business leaders to identify and implement effective solutions.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage third-party vendor relationships to ensure performance aligns with contracts, acting as a liaison between finance stakeholders and IT to align application capabilities with business requirements.
Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, including at least 5 years in project management and application ownership roles focused on finance applications.
- Proven experience in leading IS projects involving SAP ERP and other non-ERP finance applications integrated with SAP.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Record-to-Report (R2R).
- Experience in implementing and managing Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) solutions, fully integrated with SAP S/4HANA.
- Hands-on experience in automation and AI-driven projects enhancing finance process efficiency.
- Technical proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC, with troubleshooting experience.
- Demonstrated project management skills managing complex, cross-functional projects.
- Deep understanding of finance-related software, cloud-based solutions, and IT infrastructure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing complex technical and operational challenges.
- Knowledge of security, compliance, and risk management in finance applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse teams.
