API Integration Expert

For our international client, we are seeking an experienced API Integration Expert to support the creation of policies and governance layers for API deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the API Integration Expert.
- Define and support integration governance, review, and compliance processes, including the automation of these processes.
- Create policies, governance, and safeguard layers for the deployment of all APIs.
- Enhance existing API and integration lifecycle processes.
- Create API-first design guidelines, standards, and best practices.
- Improve the quality of the API catalog, documentation, metadata, and promote reuse.
- Design and deliver training sessions and workshops.
- Promote reusable, secure, and scalable APIs in collaboration with the Community of Practice.
- Work closely with the Enterprise Architecture team.
Requirements:
- Strong project experience with API integration/API management.
- Previous background as an API/integration Architect.
- Project experience in enterprise integration and integration architecture.
- Strong knowledge of API-first design, REST/OpenAPI, OData, and modern integration patterns.
- Experience with various integration tools and management platforms (e.g., Azure API Management, MuleSoft, SAP Integration Suite).
- Previous experience in establishing API policies and governance.
- Familiarity with SAP integration, SaaS integration patterns, and integration governance.
- Experience in developing and delivering API-first training.
- Proven track record in stakeholder management.
- Project experience in international projects for European businesses.
- Fluency in English is required.
