Main Duties
- Teach across the full age and ability spectrum, tailoring lessons to meet the diverse needs of individual students.
- Enhance the broader school experience by participating in sporting events, extracurricular activities (ECAs), and other enrichment initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the Creative Arts & Design Department.
- Engage in the dynamic life of the boarding community.
- Pursue continuous professional development and self-improvement.
- Mentor a small group of learners, overseeing their academic progress and well-being.
- Manage departmental resources effectively, ensuring a safe, clean, and organized working space.
- Demonstrate a clear commitment to safeguarding all young people.
- Handle subject-related administration tasks and actively participate in departmental meetings.
- Adhere to the school’s assessment and reporting protocols, and attend parents' meetings as required.
Person Specification
- Possess a good honours degree and/or a further degree in a directly-related subject.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Exhibit a passion for the subject that inspires and motivates students.
- Welcome innovations in teaching and learning, and be willing to explore new practices.
- Be prepared to supervise learners in their MYP Personal Projects or DP Extended Essays.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with English as a mother tongue.
