With a dedicated team of experts, we provide integration and separation advisory services, leading intricate engagements and leveraging deep functional expertise across finance, human resources, commercial, supply chain, and technology.

At Deloitte, we support our clients throughout the M&A advisory process, collaborating closely with our colleagues in transaction services, valuations, and corporate finance. Being part of the Strategy, Risk and Transactions Business Line means working in concert with our Strategy, Sustainability, Regulatory, and Technology counterparts to ensure a seamless, value-driven transaction experience.

Your Impact

• Design and Validate AI Use Cases: Collaborate with M&A practitioners to translate business challenges into well-scoped, testable AI applications with clear success metrics and measurable outcomes.
• Engineer End-to-End AI Solutions: Take ownership of the technical development of generative AI tools, focusing on prompt architecture, evaluation frameworks, testing, and production deployment.
• Establish Evaluation and Quality Standards: Develop rigorous testing methodologies to assess model outputs, validate accuracy with subject matter experts, and measure real-world utility.
• Optimize for Production: Troubleshoot AI solutions during client engagements, refine prompts and system design using performance data, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Build Reusable AI Infrastructure: Document prompt patterns and evaluation methodologies to create a foundation for rapid iteration and knowledge transfer across the practice.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work with M&A colleagues, the Swiss AI advisory practice, and Deloitte's wider AI community to stay updated on platform developments and emerging capabilities.

Who We Are Looking For

• Strong AI Fundamentals: Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and generative AI in a professional or research capacity.
• Technical Depth in AI: Proven ability to design prompts, structure examples, evaluate outputs, and iterate based on performance metrics.
• Problem-Solving and Systems Thinking: Ability to deconstruct ambiguous business problems and design testable hypotheses.
• Learning Agility for Domain Knowledge: Quick at building knowledge of M&A topics to inform AI design decisions.
• Communication Across Disciplines: Skillful in translating technical AI concepts into business language for diverse stakeholders.
• Ownership and Accountability: Responsible for solution quality and delivery, managing technical risks, and driving tasks to completion.
• Strong Academic Background: Degree in computer science, data science, AI, machine learning, or a related quantitative field; 1-2 years of experience in AI/ML systems is a plus.
• Language Skills: Fluent in English; proficiency in German or French is advantageous.
