Job Opportunity: Technical Consultant

Medtronic is seeking a dedicated Technical Consultant to join our Cardiovascular Therapy Group. In this role, you will collaborate with interventional cardiologists, cardiac electrophysiologists, referral cardiologists, and other stakeholders to optimize treatments for heart rhythm disorders. You will be responsible for a diverse portfolio of products catering to both bradycardia and tachycardia arrhythmia therapies.

This position will involve supporting cardiac device implants, including pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders, within hospitals, while also providing technical support and troubleshooting in clinics and private practices. The role primarily covers the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, but may also occasionally extend to central regions of the country. This is a remote position, meaning your home will serve as your primary workplace, though attendance at Medtronic locations for meetings may be required from time to time.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize in-depth technical knowledge paired with a diplomatic approach to add significant value to stakeholder relationships.
  • Deliver comprehensive training to stakeholders on effectively using our products to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Organize and facilitate educational and proctoring programs.
  • Promote the advantages of our products from both technical and commercial perspectives.
  • Conduct training sessions for healthcare professionals and serve as an expert in telemedicine.
  • Provide on-site support, consulting, and education to healthcare professionals during sales presentations, product demonstrations, and the installation and maintenance of company products.
  • Participate in conferences and congresses to enhance brand visibility and knowledge sharing.
  • Prepare and submit reports on activities and challenges as required by management.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a healthcare or hospital environment.
  • A strong passion for the technical aspects of Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM).
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in both Italian and English.
  • Strong flexibility and effective planning abilities.
  • Familiarity with standard Information and Communication Tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce).
