As the importance of tight, low-latency integration with CPUs and GPUs grows, our Data Transfer team is at the forefront of this transition. In this role, you will lead a talented group of experts, working closely with our VP of R&D to shape the future of quantum computing instruments.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead our high-performance data path team, focusing on CPU/GPU integration for next-generation quantum computing instruments.
  • Drive all aspects of people development in collaboration with our HR team.
  • Participate in architecture decisions for backend and server software.
  • Build engineering capability, manage technical debt, and optimize delivery processes.
  • Oversee the delivery of new features.
  • Align with stakeholders, including product management, cross-functional agile development teams, and our Engineering Productivity team.

Your Profile

  • MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience leading a software engineering team with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Extensive experience in C++ within a professional environment.
  • Familiarity with networking protocols and interfacing with firmware or specialized hardware.
  • Experience with CUDA, Python, or Rust (nice-to-have).
  • Exposure to RDMA/RoCE, high-performance computing, or low-latency systems (nice-to-have).
  • Background in controlling lab equipment (nice-to-have).
