Supply and Inventory Planning Role at Accelleron Switzerland AG
In this role, you will be responsible for managing Supply and Inventory Planning within the Medium & Low Speed Division at Accelleron Switzerland AG. Your focus will be on maintaining the optimal balance between demand and supply, ensuring that inventory levels are consistently optimized, and identifying and addressing supply risks.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collect data to generate a constrained supply plan, leading rough-cut capacity planning while linking it to the demand plan to develop and execute both short- and long-term supply plans.
- Analyze outputs and coordinate with production to provide insights into the Global IBP cycle regarding supply risks and constraints.
- Conduct in-depth analyses to identify capacity constraints, recommending both short- and long-term solutions and mitigation plans to eliminate bottlenecks in collaboration with production teams.
- Identify potential supply chain risks and disruptions, offering input into the development of contingency plans. Pinpoint key root causes of non-performance and drive improvement initiatives.
- Assess the impact of the supply plan on anticipated inventory levels. Monitor and coordinate inventory optimization actions to avert shortages or excess inventory, and manage cross-functional inventory reduction activities alongside financial risk assessments.
- Coordinate and track progress with the Production Team and category management for outsourcing (external workbenches). Collaborate with vendors and Category Managers to optimize capacity and ensure material availability.
- Generate reports on supply and demand data, inventory levels, and supply chain performance for management, contributing insights into the IBP cycle.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Your Background:
- A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Project Management Certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in S&OP demand, supply and inventory planning, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical abilities with a knack for identifying patterns, issues, and making data-driven decisions.
- Proven capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Experience with supply chain management software, along with advanced proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Excel, is required, including the ability to build complex data models from various data sources.
- A good understanding of market trends and the financial impacts of supply chain operations on the business, complemented by a proven track record of implementing supply chain best practices.
