Job Opportunity: Supply and Inventory Planning

Accelleron Switzerland AG is seeking a dedicated professional for the role of Supply and Inventory Planning in our Medium & Low Speed Division. In this position, you will play a critical role in ensuring an optimal balance between demand and supply while maintaining optimal inventory levels and proactively addressing supply risks.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze data to generate a constrained supply plan; establish and lead rough-cut capacity planning linked to the demand plan to develop both short- and long-term supply strategies.
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify capacity constraints, recommending short- and long-term solutions to eliminate bottlenecks in collaboration with production teams.
  • Proactively identify potential supply chain risks and disruptions, providing valuable input for developing contingency plans.
  • Determine the impact of the supply plan on expected inventory levels, monitoring and coordinating inventory optimization actions to avert shortages or excess inventory.
  • Collaborate with the Production Team and category management for outsourcing activities, while working alongside external vendors and Category Managers to optimize capacity and ensure material availability.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on supply and demand data, inventory levels, and overall supply chain performance for management review.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Your Background:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Project Management Certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in S&OP demand, supply, and inventory planning, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex data, identify patterns, and develop creative, data-driven solutions.
  • Ability to manage priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Experience with supply chain management software and advanced proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Excel, including the ability to build complex data models from varied data sources.
  • Understanding of market trends and the financial implications of supply chain operations, with a proven track record in implementing best practices.
  • Able to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities as needed.
