ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering Research

Project Description

The ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering, established in 2008, is integrated into the Faculty of Medicine, a unique initiative in Europe. With nearly two decades of innovation and the training of PhD students and postdoctoral researchers, we seek to investigate the career progression of women affiliated with the ARTORG Center. This includes female graduates and early-career researchers (PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty) from 2008 to the present.

Our aim is to gain a deeper understanding of the specific challenges and opportunities that women in the field of biomedical engineering encounter during the early stages of their careers, beyond the completion of their academic training. We strive to identify how to enhance educational training to promote gender equality and better equip our students and early-career researchers with the essential skills for professional success.
