Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Prompt and accurate claims handling in full compliance with both external and internal minimum standards, policies, and procedures.
- Managing claims within authority limits while coordinating with the line manager for necessary approvals on claims exceeding authority.
- Demonstrating good knowledge of the line of business-specific claims.
- Possessing an understanding of the relevant claims environment as applicable.
- Utilizing strong technical knowledge of legal principles, policy wordings, and (re)insurance market practices.
- Having a preference for candidates currently pursuing (re)insurance qualifications, such as ACII or an equivalent.
- Exhibiting background experience in adjusting claims independently within the authorization level.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of relevant (re)insurance market systems (e.g., ECF, CLASS or equivalent).
- Confidently communicating with both internal and external parties, and being experienced in meetings with key stakeholders such as underwriters, actuaries, in-house legal teams, and outwards reinsurance teams.
