Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Spanish Teacher to work with academically motivated high school sophomores (ages 15-16) from a diverse array of schools across the United States. This role is ideal for someone passionate about teaching and committed to student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Spanish from Spanish I to Advanced Placement level to small classes ranging from 2 to 6 students.
- Conduct four classes, providing a supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Regularly assess students through assignments, tests, and exams to track progress.
- Maintain correspondence (primarily via email) with the sending schools in the United States.
- Implement the curriculum provided by students' home schools in the United States.
Requirements
- Proficiency in English writing and speaking skills at a Native or C2 level.
- Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Teaching.
- Masters or PhD degrees are preferred but not required.
- Strong teaching background with experience in various levels of secondary school Spanish.
- Familiarity with the US curriculum is a plus.
- Advisory duties for 4-5 students.
- Outdoor experience such as hiking, climbing, biking, and skiing is preferred but not essential.
