The Role: Smart Manufacturing IT Integration Specialist

Located at our global headquarters in Baden, Switzerland, you will be pivotal in enhancing efficiency and manufacturing excellence by advancing the digitalization of our factory. As a Smart Manufacturing IT Integration Specialist specializing in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), you will ensure seamless factory operations while serving as a technical expert and consultant in developing new solutions.

Your Responsibilities

Process Engineering

  • Consult business teams on investment projects and process optimizations within the IS application landscape.
  • Leverage existing IS systems and solutions, ensuring their effective use and continuous enhancement, while identifying opportunities for innovative solutions.
  • Evaluate new investments and applications through a structured and transparent approach, aligning with IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Identify trends and enabling technologies in Industry 4.0 to enhance business process efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with business teams to pinpoint technology-driven opportunities for process improvement.

Application Ownership

  • Manage a segment of the Factory Management Applications Portfolio, which includes the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), IoT device integration, and shop floor connectivity.
  • Ensure seamless, standardized integration of Backend Systems (ERP, MES) with Manufacturing Control Systems and production equipment.
  • Work with business process owners and IS delivery teams to create value through advanced technologies.
  • Ensure IS security and compliance within the production application landscape in collaboration with IS security teams.

Project Work

  • Consult with business representatives regarding integration options into the manufacturing IT system landscape.
  • Lead integration efforts for new IoT equipment within IT systems.
  • Drive process digitalization as a subject matter expert, overseeing end-to-end process improvement for all new investments, from initiation and design to successful implementation.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within an industrial setting or equivalent project experience.
  • Understanding of MES systems and shop floor IoT integration.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Fluency in English and German (business proficiency required).
  • Experience in IT infrastructure (networking, cybersecurity, hardware integration) is a plus.
