Become an integral part of Axpo's dynamic team in the rapidly evolving emissions market. As a Senior Trader, you will take financial proprietary positions and contribute to the development of analytical models.
What You Will Do:
- Take proprietary trading positions in carbon certificates or related commodities/products.
- Work closely with our analysts to foster knowledge transfer, develop in-house models, and enhance fundamental market forecasting.
- Stay informed about regulatory developments and industry best practices to ensure compliance and drive innovation in carbon trading practices.
- Provide market access to other desks for hedging purposes.
- Engage with related trading desks (power, gas, petroleum, etc.) to discuss and share insights.
What You Bring & Who You Are:
- Master’s or PhD in business or natural sciences.
- Several years of experience in trading EUAs and/or UKAs within a trading house, fund, or utility.
- Proven track record of strong PnL performance.
- Willing and able to work in an international context.
- Excellent communication skills and a fundamental trading approach.
