To support our expanding client base and project portfolio, we are seeking to bolster our team in Spreitenbach.

Position Overview: Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer at SpectraFlow Analytics, you will be responsible for the commissioning of our online analyzer solutions along with their associated control software for a global clientele in the cement and mining sectors. Your relationship with clients will extend beyond the initial commissioning phase, encompassing ongoing support, addressing inquiries and concerns, evaluating performance, and identifying necessary services or components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commission our NIR online analyzers on-site in coordination with the client’s team.
  • Implement expert systems to control the processes effectively.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for your assigned clients, providing training and support in the use of the analyzer and during service requests.
  • Collect and clarify reference samples for calibration purposes.
  • Conduct acceptance tests for system performance.
  • Play an active and solution-oriented role in project management.
  • Support our After Sales Team to proactively manage and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a process engineer in the cement or mining sector.
  • Extensive experience in commissioning analytical systems at clients’ sites.
  • Proficiency in programming PLCs and connecting them to control systems using OPC/fieldbus.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux-based embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with near-infrared real-time measurement systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with advanced process control software is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to remote project sites.
  • A structured and organized work ethic, with a proven ability to manage and document action-oriented tasks effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex topics to diverse stakeholders.
  • A proactive and results-oriented approach, with the capacity to motivate teams and drive project success.
  • Fluency in English and one additional language (written and spoken).
