Position: Senior System Engineer
At SpectraFlow Analytics, a Senior System Engineer plays a crucial role in our Engineering and Projects departments by supporting on-site engineers in client projects with specialized knowledge while internally enhancing our systems.
What to Expect from the Job
- Support a diverse portfolio of client projects by assisting the commissioning engineers.
- Integrate our analyzers with the customer's IT infrastructure and control systems to enable seamless data exchange.
- Configure the analyzer GUI and services.
- Set up, commission, and tune third-party RMP software suites.
- Provide technical support to commissioning engineers during the commissioning phase.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including layouts, instructions, and manuals, to assist engineers and customers.
- Respond to service requests at levels 1 through 3 and track activities and results on our service platform.
- Manage health and updates of our installed systems, including software deployment, backups, and remote connections.
- Train colleagues and clients on assigned topics, including documentation.
- Travel to client sites when specialized technical support is required on site.
What You Should Bring
- At least 5 years as a process engineer in cement or mining within a plant environment.
- Several years of experience servicing and maintaining Windows and Linux-based embedded systems.
- Experience in programming PLCs and connecting them to control systems using OPC/fieldbus.
- Familiarity with near-infrared real-time measurement systems.
- A Master's degree in information technology or a related field.
- Experience working with advanced process control software.
- A structured and organized work ethic, with a proven ability to manage and document action-oriented tasks effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly articulating complex topics to diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive and results-oriented approach, with the ability to motivate teams and drive project success.
- Fluency in English and one other language (written and spoken); minimum A1 level German proficiency is required, and additional language proficiency is a plus.
