To support our expanding client and project base, we are looking to enhance our team in Spreitenbach.
Position: Senior System Engineer
The Senior System Engineer serves as a vital support pillar in our Engineering and Projects departments, collaborating closely with on-site engineers on client projects while also contributing to internal system improvements.
What to Expect from the Job:
- Support a diverse portfolio of client projects by assisting the commissioning engineers.
- Integrate our analyzers with clients' IT infrastructures and control systems for seamless data exchange.
- Configure the analyzer GUI and services.
- Set up, commission, and tune third-party RMP software suites.
- Provide technical support to commissioning engineers during the commissioning phase.
- Create and maintain all technical documentation, including layouts, instructions, and manuals to assist engineers and clients.
- Respond to service requests on levels 1 through 3 and track activities and results on our service platform.
- Oversee the health and updates of our installed systems, managing software deployment, backups, remote connections, etc.
- Train colleagues and clients on assigned topics, including documentation.
- Travel to client sites when specialized technical support is needed on-site.
What You Should Bring:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a process engineer in cement or mining plants.
- Several years of experience servicing and maintaining Windows and Linux-based embedded systems.
- Proficiency in programming PLCs and connecting them to control systems using OPC/fieldbus.
- Experience with near-infrared real-time measurement systems.
- A Master's degree in information technology or a related field.
- Experience working with advanced process control software.
- A structured and organized work ethic, capable of effectively managing and documenting action-oriented tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex topics clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- A proactive, results-oriented approach, with the ability to motivate teams and drive project success.
- Fluency in English and one other language (written and spoken), with a minimum A1 level of German proficiency. Additional language skills are a plus.
